Stay right there.

Since My Yahoo! is your home on the Web, we figured we should make it easier for you to get comfy. So we set out to give you better ways to customize your page. Around here, we call it the inline extravaganza. That’s how we refer to letting you do more on your page itself, or inline.

No more navigating off your page to add content, change your layout, modify your settings or see what your page would look like in a new color. Now, all that is possible right from your page.

But we didn’t think that was quite enough. So we added a reader option that lets you view articles without leaving your page. Then we created module-specific controls (like how many items you want displayed in a module). Oh, and we improved the article previews (the little snippets that show up when you mouse over a headline) too.

We hope you like what we’ve done with the place.

I like the “inline extravaganza” alot, and i love the inline reader but i think i needs a few more basic features like the option to read more than last 10 items (some blogs update 20+ times a day) and highlight unread feeds.

    My Yahoo! team,

Why do you sign your blogs “the My Yahoo! team,” but then identify yourself by your god-given names when you respond to people’s comments.

I think hiding behind your “team” name is *soooo* 2004. Shake things up a bit– I think you should use your first names.

And great work. I love the inline features. You have some talented people working on this stuff, from what I can see! keep up the great work.

I retract my earlier comment. Advertisements are appearing over articles in the reading view making it very unusable.

The issue with advertisements seems to be fixed speedily by the My Yahoo! team. Great response.

    Yahoo Team,
Great new layout. Some kinks remain as it is still in Beta but all in all great job. Is there any way you can make it so I can edit the currency converter with my currencies of choice, as I could on the old page? Thanks

I love everything you do, I just have to make some adjustments. The best of all you have done was to let us have unlimited storage. It was a real punch on the competitors who will have to change things “gain”

I hate the way advertisement placed and cuts into My Yahoo! page and Yahoo! Mail page. This is not the way with iGoogle and Gmail. I like you Yahoo!. I realize advertisements pay but try to stick with users side.

RE: Yahoo Bookmarks. Can you set the default so that when I click on a bookmark it opens in a new tab? This is how it is in Yahoo Mail. I’m sure you would prefer that your users not constantly navigate away from their My Yahoo page. And I like to keep My Yahoo page open in the background.

I’m a fan of the My Yahoo home page – have been using it for ages. I like most of the new changes y’all have made. There is one however, that I seriously dislike.

You guys removed the logos from the sports module. I really REALLY liked that, as it helped me focus in on specific information.

In reading others’ comments, it would appear the feature was not popular, but is there any chance it can be restored as an alternate version, or perhaps a toggle switch in the existing one? I really liked that, and for a sports fan felt it added some flair to the module.

Would love to know an answer to this, and not just be “hung out” there, if you know what I mean.

    Thanks.

I realize that some might consider that annoying “preview” box that pops up each and every time I accidentally scroll over an article, an email, etc. to be a feature, I consider it an incredible annoyance. How do I turn that thing off?

  16. I look forward to this. I’ll add more content later.
