Hello, I’m your content wrangler.

There’s a great big world of content out there—how do you find the best stuff for your page? One option is to browse our content directory. As your editor, I roam the Internet looking for the best content available across all kinds of subjects. When I find feeds from publishers who are reliable authorities on a topic or who have something unique to say on the subject, I round them up into categories where I hope they’ll be easy for you to find.

– Like to cook? Check out the Lifestyles category and dig into the Food & Drink feeds.
– Follow tech trends? Pick your specialty from Technology.

My goal is to supply you with feeds that bring you frequent, relevant, compelling content on the topics that interest you most.

Our content directory has undergone many evolutions during the years I’ve been part of the My Yahoo! team. We’re trying to keep it easy to use, yet comprehensive—a tough balance to strike. Tell me what you think. And if you don’t find what you need, remember, the directory is a fraction of all the content available for your page. Use the content search box to explore the millions of available feeds.

I’ll be back to talk about more of the things a My Yahoo! editor spends her time doing. But for now, it’s back to the wild, wild Web.

Giddyup,

Rebecca
My Yahoo! Editor

The new My Yahoo is another huge step backwards. 1st you killed all useability in TV listings, then personal finance now you waste even more real estate..and don’t even have most of the modules working.

I used to use MY Yahoo for everything. I’m gone.

I don’t like the new setup for My Yahoo! page. It’s awful, especially the TV LISTINGS. It’s too narrow and I CAN’T SET IT TO START AT MY TIME. Everything is an hour off. The OLD yahoo page (which DOESN’T SUPPORT THE TV LISTINGS ANYMORE) gave me a perfect spread from 7-10 pm, all at a quick glance, in MY TIME (Central). NOW I have to scroll around and try to figure out the time difference, PLUS the spread is to small. I hate it. AND also? Half of the content boxes aren’t loading on the “new” page. I’ve used yahoo for years and years and years…and now I’m completely disappointed in the service.

I live in AZ and we do not change for daylight savings. My TV listings are 1 hour off in the new page.

Thanks
Bruce

I like the basic look of the new Beta page but I do not want that advertisment on it..

For lack of any better place to leave this comment…What is the deal with the alleged new TV listings? All my page shows is the time of day, which I can move back and forth. I selected my favorite channels, etc. but there are no listings appearing. So now I can’t get them on the old page and I can’t get them on the Beta page. Do you plan to fix this or leave it in the same bad shape it was the LAST time you “upgraded” the TV listings?

NOW the TV Listings module won’t even let me “Select Favorites”. I’ve selected them about 12 times, clicked “Done”, and they STILL DONT SAVE. Still can’t change the time to local, either.

Please put everything back to the original format–the modules actually WORKED then, and the page layout was nice.

We’re working on the TV listings. See today’s post “TV listings update” for more info. Thanks.

I do like the new, sleeker look. But it could use a couple tweaks or expanded layout options.
The advertizing in the right column needs to go back to the top where it is less intrusive. Annoying ads in the content will not increase hits except by accident. And that will further annoy users. Not a plus. At least give the user the option where it goes.
And return the option for narrow & wide columns. Many of the things, like reference dictionary, weather, etc, do not need a wide column. But things like news & tv listings do need a wide column. I don’t want to add more pages to accommodate these.

My movie theaters are not listing. When I click theaters, nothing happens. Each theater I selected, used to display in this module with movies and times. Am I missing something or doing something wrong.

Otherwise, I like the new look and feel.

overall i like the new setup, except that some modules can not be moved(stock quotes and others).also it loads so slow and when one wishes to read one article like from one module then go back to my yahoo home page, unlike the old setup you push back page and it goes back to where you were. now it goes back to top of page so if you want to see a couple things at bottom you have to wait for entire page to reload and scroll down to where you wre a couple times, it get tiresome waiting every time as it loads so slow……..
