Location, location, location…

If you like finding new restaurants and things to do in your area, try adding the Local module to your page. It’s one of our coolest modules, yet surprisingly few of our users know about it. It puts the following at your fingertips:
- an interactive map of your area
- a guide to local restaurants, events, and favorites
- driving directions
- a local search box for finding all the other cool stuff near you

This module is packed with functionality and is meant to take care of all your local needs. Since it’s relatively new, we know we can make it even better. Over the next few months, I’ll be working to improve it, so tell me: What do you like or dislike about it? How would you make it better?
Take Local for a spin and tell me what you think.
Happy exploring,
Michael

Sounds great but locks up the hom page.
I love it. I have been in countless discussions (let’s call them meetings) talking about how this module is just the right amount of inspiration to put on your homepage. It’s the best of Yahoo! Local to give me ideas on what to do after I get through with a day of meetings.
Thanks Michael– way to go on this!
Oops! Sorry, now it works. Just took a little longer than I thought. It’s great! Thanks!
sure. love to add it. But Except for the link in your article to the module, I was unable to find it with the add content tools (a search for local does not bring it up, strangely enough).
Perhaps that is why few users know about it.
don’t like the local module at all. I like the old maps module better. I don’t want driving directions, I want to see a point on the map and then be able to see what is nearby. I want to be able to have a drop down with my saved locations on it IN the module. new results page is messy. I want “search local” to be default search tab. plus on top of all that is says it can’t find my zip code!!!
I should have this working long time ago but somehow I have been blocked,I will try one more time
