They’re back…

That’s right folks. We brought back the most beloved themes from the original My Yahoo!. Miss the simplicity of some of the old themes? Check out the ten “Old Favorites” we brought back. You’ll find them in the “Personalize this page” menu, under “Change Color.”

My favorite is “Sport” because it reminds me of a wall-paper I used to have in my room when I was a little kid. Check out these old faves and let us know which one you like best.

Have fun with the new, wait, I mean “old” themes.

i would like the option to change the color of the text to links and and headers etc…if you would allow that in the future you could call it complete

  2. =bg= says:

    Not there. I show:
    Texture Themes (19)
    Color Themes (10)
    Environments (7)
    Seasonal (13)
    Passions (3)

  3. Michael says:

That’s nice to have more choice for the colors. I have just changed to “Lilacs” (nice colors, clean and simple). I like it.

Now, what would be even better is to get the other advantages we had with the former version of My Yahoo!:

    - we were allowed to have up to 100 modules per page (with maximum 6 pages which meant we could have up to 600 modules across pages), I’m very annoyed with the 300 modules (across pages) limit in the new version. On other personalized starting pages (Pageflakes, Netvibes, …) there is not such a low limit (but still overall I prefer My Yahoo!).

    - we could choose in the options when the page should refresh (every 20 minutes, every 30 minutes, 1 hour …)

Keep adding themes for holidays(St Patrick’s Day, Easter,Halloween etc.

  5. Rod says:

Old Favorites not listed on my home page…nly ones listed are:
    Texture Themes (19)
    Color Themes (10)
    Environments (7)
    Seasonal (13)
    Passions (3)

  6. db says:

I’m with =bg= mine doesn’t show it either. I have the exact same list they do.
    bummer…

  7. Mary Ann says:

I don’t like that when I open my email it opens another page. Just go the mail. I also wish the My Yahoo page fit the screen. All this sliding right and left makes me dizzy. lol

  8. Ditto what Mary Ann said–could you please have a 800×600 option on My Yahoo? I know I can kill the having to slide the page over by changing the resolution, but I hate the other resolutions, things are too tiny!

  9. Larraine says:

    There aren’t on mine either…why????

  10. Ellen says:

Old Favorites not on my homepage either. I agree with marc, bring back customizable headers, links, etc.
    Thank you

  11. dan says:

Old Favorites are not listed on personalize this page.

  12. Joel says:

I really like the “Environment” options, a lot! Especially the forest and mountain themes. However, if I am using either one of those themes, I cannot see the green and red text in my stock portfolio. It bugs me so much I can’t use those themes, even though I would really like to. Please fix this!!! Thank you!

  13. pops says:

I would like to see some more of the old colors, including sahara

  14. Donna says:

Not there on mine…..wish they were

    Hey everyone,

I looked into the issue of not being able to see the “Old Favorites” themes. Turns out that if you have a broadband version of My Yahoo! (AT&T, Verizon, etc.), those themes won’t show up on your page. However, now that we’ve figured it out, they should be available in the next day or so. Be sure to check back!

  19. Kat says:

You didn’t bring back the hello kitty angel background, and I am very disappointed in that, as that is what everyone calls me.

  20. Kat says:

Where’s the hello kitty angel background that is what my neighbors call me and I would really like it back

  21. sweetnspice says:

i like the idea of old backgrounds!!! i mean it’s really cool, to have old favorites back… it’s like having something antique!! :)

I second Michael’s comment http://myyblog.com/blog/2008/01/28/theyre-back/#comment-13820 , as in please remove the 300 module limits across pages
