Big Brown’s Triple Crown?

Well folks, it’s been 30 years since the last Triple Crown victory in the sport of horse racing. I don’t typically watch the big races, but how could I miss seeing history like this?

I’ve been reading about history of the Belmont Stakes, and it’s actually quite interesting. This “Third Jewel” of the Triple Crown, as they call it, marks the 140th year of the race. Make sure to tune in this Saturday, June 7th, on ABC at 5pm ET.

With the mounting anticipation of a three-decade dry spell about to broken, the 2008 Belmont Stakes is certainly something to keep track of, and what better way than with your My Yahoo! page. Stay ahead of the pack with these two great modules.

See you at the races!

It is utterly ridiculous for the press, the media and even trainer Rick Dutrow Jr. to blame Kent Desormeaux for Big Brown’s loss. Is everyone off their rocker? I WAS AT THE RACE! The heat and humidity was brutal! I couldn’t help commenting on how insane it was, if not inhuman, to run those animals. Can anyone with a modecum of intelligence SEE that Big Brown just wasn’t feeling up to running that day? Do the people in the Horse Racing association really think horses are like race cars? Plop a new hoof on, and he’s ready to go? I can’t believe the press even run w/ this story! What, is there nothing left to painfully over analyse? It’s the “beating it like a dead horse” syndrome..c’mon already!

Dutrow should get out of the business; he knows NOTHING about horses.
