Earlier this week we reported that there was an issue which was causing news links to open up in a new window. This has been resolved, and links now open in the current window. For those of you who prefer to open up links in a new tab or window, you can do so using the following options:

  • Right click on the link and select “open in new window” or “open in new tab” from the menu
  • Use shift-click to open up the link in a new window
  • Use ctrl-click to open up the link in a new tab (Firefox and Internet Explorer 7)

Any chance whatever caused the new window problem is affecting the “top picks from your page” module?? Mine hasn’t been working right for some time now….if you have any tips, please advise.

I have so many pages and so many feeds that the Top Picks is invaluable!! Thanks!

Hi spiritofme,

Thanks for letting us know about the issue with the Top Picks from Your Page module. I’ve notified our team and they are investigating.

The loading problem is happening with my Top Picks too but also with my “Company News” under Finance where the erroneous message “No recent news item found” is displayed.

My Yahoo load and refresh times are at least 3 times slower than under your old system and my old home page. Very frustrating, every time I click on stock in the portfolio or a news story in any module the load time is 4-5 seconds minimum.
This is on multiple computers of Xp or Vista on different Ip’s and all with broadband service. Extremely irritating….What gives??????????????????

The load time for my yahoo page has increased substantially ever since the new my yahoo was released. I have been using the same computer and IE6.0, and the only thing that changed was my yahoo page. Worst of all, during loading, all buttons and scroll were disabled. It now takes about 20 seconds to load and I am using a high speed (10Mbps) internet connection.
