Father of mine!

Father’s Day is less than a week away (Sunday, June 15th), and now is the time to start thinking about the perfect gift for dear old dad.

In my case, now that I’ve finished school and moved away from home, my folks have had time to do some remodeling around the house. So for me the “Gifts for Dad” section at The Home Depot® is the perfect Father’s Day catalog.

If you’re having trouble finding something that suits your dad’s fancy, check out these other great Father’s Day gift ideas. You’re bound to find something that will put a smile on his face this year.

Of course if you’re the dad approaching this celebration of fatherhood, you can get some freebies for My Yahoo! for your page. I found this Rebel Dad module that offers some great dad-to-dad wisdom and anecdotes. Be sure to read the lead story, “What We ‘Really’ Want for Father’s Day.”

Yap. Mothers Day just over and now its Fathers Day. Come to think of it…I place more emphasis on my mum than my dad everyear – which may not be very nice. We intend to give my dad a surprise dinner this weekend and also get him a present – a nice beach shirt and a cigar holder. LOL

For us we never really celebrate father’s day, but we do love our father very much, although we never said we love him directly or in words but our actions speaks louder that we love and care for them (mom and dad). For me I am so bless that God gave me a father like him although there some conflicts which is very common to a father and son relationships but those were nothing compared for all the good things he has done to us. He is a good provider, a teacher, an adviser and a friend.

My Dad’s gone now. It’s been 6 years. He always tried to be the tuffy, growl about everything, and anything. Nothing was quite right, except what he did. But you know what, every year on Father’s Day I would buy him a potted miniture rose bush. He never knew what to say. But he never wasted any time getting out to their small back yard to get it planted in just the right place. He never said “Thanks” but the look on his face was enough “Thanks”. Love ya’ Dad
