I use firefox, and I used to have a new tab pop up everytime I clicked on a link. Now I can't. So when I click on someone's email address....it doesn't open in a new window or tab. But count me among the majority who'd rather remove his own appendix with a screwdriver than to have popup windows appear every time I click on a link. (BTW, if you *do* like your links to open in a different viewing panel, use shift-click for a new window, or ctrl-click or scrollwheel-click for a new tab.
