Shh..show’s about to start!

With titles like Kung Fu Panda and The Incredible Hulk, how could you not be excited about this summer movie season?

Whether it’s a romantic evening out, a family adventure to the theater, or an afternoon escape from work, you can use your My Yahoo! page as the all-knowing movie critic.

In fact, there’s an entire category of great movie modules to choose from. They’re located in the “Add Modules” folder under “Entertainment.” I already had the Movie Showtimes module, but now that the summer movie season is bloom, I figured it was time to beef up the cinematic flavor of my page.

“Personalize this Page” > “Add Modules” > “Entertainment” > “Movies”

My new favorite movie module is the Filmspotting module. You get not only the latest movie reviews, but also some interesting commentary such as the “Top 5 TV show adaptations.” I’m a sucker for lists like this, so this module is perfect for me.

Well folks, get pumped for summer movie season; bring on the popcorn, turn off your cell-phones, and enjoy the show!

Updated: Movie Showtimes

It’s become way too convenient to order and watch movies from the comfort of my couch, but there’s still nothing that beats going to the theater, ordering popcorn, and settling in for the perfect cinematic adventure.

With the newest addition to Movie Showtimes, you can now edit which theaters to view within the one module — no more leaving your My Yahoo! page to edit your settings. So it’s even easier to check the showtimes of multiple theaters.

Once you’ve added the module, simply click the “Edit Module Preferences” icon (wheel icon highlighted below) and add your favorite theaters.

Add Movie Showtimes to your page now.

One module, “two thumbs up.”

My Netflix gives you a window into your account without having to leave your page. Just sync your module to your account. Simply add the module and follow the one-time authentication instructions. With one tidy module you’ll be plugged into the latest new releases and the most popular movie rentals. Check the “Top Rentals” tab for what’s hot on Netflix. In no time, you’ll be the supreme movie critic among your friends and family.

With today’s news about Netflix switching exclusively to Blu-ray discs over HD DVDs, it’s even more important to stay on top of your movie queue and make any changes to your theatrical repertoire.

Don’t forget to update your queue to get the perfect romantic movie for Valentine’s Day. And remember the popcorn.

Improved: movies and layout options.

We’ve released a new Movies module that we’re sure will be a hit. And we doubled the number of page layout options to help you get your page just how you want it.

Movie Showtimes
With one feature-packed module, you can see the new movies line up AND browse showtimes at your favorite theaters. Now you can sort by box office rating or opening times. Add Movie Showtimes to your page.

Layout Options
You asked for more flexible layout options, so now you have six to choose from. We kept the 2, 3 and 4 column options, but added narrow and wide columns. And thanks for your informative (and abundant) feedback on this feature. Keep it coming!
