I am a graduate student spending my summer working with the My Yahoo! team, and I could not resist writing a post about something near and dear to my heart: grilling. And what better day to make this post than on the biggest grilling day of the year, July 4th.

From masters of the mesquite to beginners of the barbecue, My Yahoo! has everything you need to get started. My two favorite modules are the RecipeFeed.com’s Barbecue Feed and a blog aptly named Grill Maestro.

For those of you watching your waistline, I recently spotted this About.com Low Fat Cooking post on Fourth of July recipes that will keep you healthy.

Unfortunately for me, I will be without my most important grilling weapon, my brand new Char-Broil grill, which is back home in Boston, Mass. I guess I’ll have to see if one of my new colleagues at Yahoo! has a burger or two to spare at their July 4th party!

For even more great 4th of July information including historical dates, modern day recipe ideas, and local fireworks shows, check out the Yahoo! July 4th Events Page.

Best,
Mike
