Can you feel the Madness?

Since I was a little kid I have loved the March Madness tournament. My older brother and I always used to go against the odds and pick the biggest upsets. I’ve grown up, a little, since those days, but I still love the thrill and excitement of buzzer beaters, miracle underdogs, and the Final Four!
Needless to say I’m excited that March Madness takes off this weekend on Selection Sunday (March 16th). You can be sure I’ll have streaming bracket information and updates from the site which hosts the games, CBS Sportsline, on my My Yahoo! page.
I find that some of the best commentary on the selections and the ongoing drama comes from a Yahoo! Sports module. I get tips for my Fantasy game along with full team analysis all in one place. Can’t beat that!
Here’s my March Madness secret for you. If you’re looking for more of a witty and fast take on the “Ides of March,” try Fanhouse.. This feed will make you feel like you’re in that team huddle with 5 seconds to go on the clock.
Good luck with your picks!

Ski and Snow Report

Hello My Yahoo’s,
I’ve been skiing and snowboarding my whole life, and the biggest bummer was getting to the mountain and finding trails not fully covered by snow or lift lines closed because of weather conditions.
Well, for those of you who brave the winter weather to conquer the mountain, life just got a little easier. With the new Ski and Snow Report module from My Yahoo!, you get everything you need to know to prepare for the trip…don’t forget the long-johns!
As you can see from my module, living in California has given me a buffet of big mountains to choose from…but I always like keeping up on the mountains back home on the East coast. The beauty of this module is that you can track reports for mountains around the world!
Enjoy the Ski and Snow Report …but most of all enjoy the skiing, boarding, snow-shoeing, x-country, whatever suits your fancy this winter season!

Are you ready for some football?

The NFL season kicks off this week, and if you’re a fan you’ll want to track upcoming games and recent scores by adding the Scoreboard module. Here’s a walk-through to help you use it.
Click the gear wheel in the top right to open the options menu. To add all the games on the NFL schedule, click the plus sign beside National Football League. Click the Save button and you’ll see all the upcoming games, in-progress scores, and even previous scores in the Yesterday tab.
Maybe you only want to keep up on a few teams. You can add them individually to the Scoreboard module. Open the options menu and browse for a specific football team by clicking on “National Football League.” Select your team’s conference and division, then click the plus sign next to your team’s name.
Or, you can search for your team by name: click the magnifying glass to open up a search box. Find your team in the search results and click the plus sign to add it. Delete teams by clicking the X beside their name in the “My selections” box. When you have all the teams you want, click Save to return to the module.
And the sports goodness doesn’t end there. Check out all the NFL team news feeds offered at Yahoo! Sports, along with other sports and analysis feeds. Add photos from any sport or team by navigating to its photos gallery and clicking the Add to My Yahoo! button.
Sound like too much work? Add the Football page —it covers NFL and NCAAF in news, photos, video, and more. Plus the Scoreboard module is already loaded with the NFL schedule.
Enjoy, sports fans!
